In celebrating the evolution of creativity and design, we were thrilled to get the chance to sit down with Disney Fairy Tale Weddings designer Michael Shettel--Vice President of Design for Alfred Angelo--and pick his brain on what sparks his creativity, and how these beautiful Disney Princess-inspired gowns get translated from off the easel and down the aisle.

In the late 1940s, Walt Disney was considering whether to continue with feature animation. The studio was deeply in debt after World War II. The war had dried up foreign revenues for features released during the early ‘40s. Animated features were suspended when the United States entered WW II.
