The museum closes early at 4pm on December 24 and December 31; the last gallery entrance will be at 2:45pm.
Admission is free year-round for active and retired military, their spouses, and dependents with valid ID. The museum also participates in the Blue Star Families program, which grants all active military free admission for themselves plus five additional guests (six people total) between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
As the museum’s culinary partner, Taste Catering runs operations at the Museum Café and catering services for special events, offering light seasonal fare inspired by the local market, growers, and purveyors. The café is open to museum visitors and the public during museum hours. Guests can enjoy seating indoors or outdoors, overlooking the lawn on the Presidio’s main parade grounds.
New hours: Open 10am to 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Open 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. Closed Tuesdays.
