The Walt Disney Family Museum presents Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World, a celebration of animation’s most beloved and recognizable character. This exclusive, original exhibition opens Spring 2019. This special exhibition chronicles Mickey’s impact and influence on art and entertainment over the past nine decades and tells the story of his origin, rise to fame, and enduring world-wide appeal, juxtaposed with Walt Disney’s inspiring and parallel story. Presented in conjunction with the museum’s tenth anniversary, the exhibition will be displayed in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall from May 16, 2019 through January 6, 2020.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is excited to announce the return of Home for the Holidays at Carolwood, an immersive seasonal installation that celebrates Walt’s family and his love of trains. The exhibition will be on view in the museum’s Theater Gallery from November 15, 2018 to January 7, 2019.

We are pleased to announce The Walt Disney Family Museum's next Community Access Exhibition, Fresh Starts, featuring the artistic self-expression of young men in Bay Area juvenile detention centers.

Join us in celebrating the distinctive talents and enduring influence of Walt Disney Studios’ most celebrated artists, playfully dubbed the “Nine Old Men” by Walt Disney, featuring never-before-seen artwork from all animated features beginning with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), to The Fox and the Hound (1981).

Immerse yourself in some of the most unforgettable characters of our time, from the imposing Beast and fearless Tarzan, to the daring heroines Ariel, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel.

Enjoy our annual holiday tradition: an immersive seasonal installation celebrating Walt’s family and love of trains, on view from November 9, 2017 to January 8, 2018.

This original retrospective showcases the life and work of Eyvind Earle, best known as the lead stylist for Sleeping Beauty and for concept art that shaped such enduring favorites as Lady and the Tramp and Peter Pan.
