San Francisco, April 14, 2023—The Walt Disney Family Museum is proud to present Pencils and Passion: A Student Art Exhibition—a celebration of the museum’s educational initiatives and the achievements of its students. Pencils and Passion is the 37th original exhibition produced by the museum. It highlights both past and current student artwork, recognizes the accomplishments of its alumni, and chronicles the development of The Walt Disney Family Museum Animation Academy.

San Francisco, March 8, 2022—The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to debut its first Cause Awareness exhibition, Creative Conservation: The Art of Endangered Animals. Presented in conjunction with Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book: Making a Masterpiece, this original exhibition features painted creations by rescued and rehabilitated animals and wildlife-inspired artwork contributed by human collaborators. Creative Conservation will be on view in the museum’s Lower Lobby and Theater Gallery beginning Earth Day, Friday, April 22.
The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to announce the opening of our latest community art initiative, Spirit of the Season: A Community Art Exhibition. Earlier this year, both amateur and professional artists were encouraged to submit artworks inspired by their own holiday traditions and expressing what the spirit of the season means to them. The museum received a vast number of submissions from local Bay Area artists, who have kindly loaned their original works to this exhibition, as well as digital submissions from artists around the country and internationally.
