The Walt Disney Family Museum is proud to announce our newest exhibition, Tomorrowland: Walt's Vision for Today, on view from July 22 through December 7, 2015! Guest-curated by Academy Award®-winning director, writer, and producer BRAD BIRD, this engaging multimedia exhibition showcases Walt Disney as a technological innovator, science fiction storyteller, and futurologist by spotlighting his vision of Disneyland’s groundbreaking Tomorrowland.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is proud to announce that it has recently constituted an Advisory Committee to complement its Board of Directors. The Committee is made up of eleven extraordinary individuals whose insight, experience, and vision—grounded in their remarkable personal and professional achievements—will provide important strategic guidance for the museum in carrying out its innovative mission and expanding its outreach and impact.

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Taste Catering & Event Planning. As the museum’s culinary partner, Taste Catering will run operations at the Museum Café, offering light seasonal fare inspired by the local market, growers, and purveyors. Through the new partnership, Taste Catering will also assume the exclusive responsibility for producing special events at the museum.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, will be honoring The Walt Disney Family Museum at the 42nd Annie Awards™ with a Special Achievement Award for its unique and significant impact on the art and industry of animation. Ron Miller—Walt Disney’s son-in-law and the president of The Walt Disney Family Museum’s Board of Directors—will be attending the award ceremony to receive the honor.

The Annie Awards ceremony will take place at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Saturday, January 31, 2015, and can be viewed online at annieawards.org/watch-it-live. 

Take a peek into the golden age of Hollywood with a new exhibition from The Walt Disney Family Museum, which brings together a selection of rare vintage prints from photographer George Hurrell’s amazing career in photography. Over 50 prints help shine a new light on his collaboration with his wife during the early days of television.
