Mid-century modern is a unique form of design that is often characterized by clean, simple lines, geometric shapes, and bold colors. This four-week class is dedicated to our upcoming special exhibition about Eyvind Earle, an artist well-known for his mid-century art style. The course is for those who are interested in experimenting and learning the popular art form from the late 1940s–70s. During the class, students will learn vital design principles centered around modernist fundamentals and apply them to drawings of environment, costume design, characters, and more. Break down shape language, watch technical demos, receive in-process feedback, and develop a personal style that will take your arts skills to the next level.
