Member Preview of WWII Exhibition: Thursday, March 18
The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to announce the opening of our new special exhibition, The Walt Disney Studios and World War II, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 for members only and to the general public the following day, Friday, March 19. The special exhibition is located in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall at 122 Riley Avenue. The Museum Store in the Main Museum, at 104 Montgomery Street, will also open for members only on March 18 and to the public on March 19.
Tickets for the following two weeks will be available on Thursday, March 11 at 10am.
With the exception of the Museum Store, the Main Museum at 104 Montgomery Street, which showcases galleries telling the story of the life of Walt Disney, will remain temporarily closed, with an anticipated opening date in April.
During this time, public restrooms will be available in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall.
The museum’s updated operating hours will be Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm, with last gallery entry at 4pm. The museum will be closed Monday through Wednesday.
To accommodate our guests safely and to ensure proper distancing, we require all guests—including members—to reserve tickets prior to their visit. Admission will be available on a timed-ticket basis with limited capacities set for each time slot. Visit our Tickets page to purchase or reserve tickets. Members of The Walt Disney Family Museum are invited to visit our members-only ticket reservation page to reserve your free tickets. During the initial opening period, before the Main Museum galleries can open, the Main Museum building will be not accessible to the public, with the exception of the Museum Store. The Awards Lobby and Museum Cafe will remain temporarily closed, and restrooms will be available only in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall.

We encourage you to download our new mobile app, WDFM, prior to your visit to the museum. We created this app to make the museum accessible to guests of diverse abilities, economic circumstance, geographic location, and language. Additionally, our app now includes audio for many of the modified listening stations in the museum in order to provide a safe, hands-free way to experience Walt's voice as you visit our galleries.
The WDFM app utilizes a number of innovative features and helpful educational tools that allow users of all ages and abilities to explore the museum galleries at their own pace and learn unique facts about Walt Disney. For those visiting the museum, the app provides gallery-by-gallery tours in 12 languages, as well as an Audio-Described Tour for people with vision impairment and a Scavenger Hunt designed to engage with younger guests. Translated languages include American Sign Language, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.
