In 2024, The Walt Disney Family Museum acquired several sketchbooks from the Marc & Alice Davis Estate. One of those sketchbooks was owned by Disney artist Alice Estes Davis, who is most known for her costume design work for the Disneyland attractions "it's a small world" and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Watch the Collections team give us an inside peek at Alice's student sketches from her time in Chouinard Institute, including figure studies, items that inspired her, and notes she took in her classes, including notes that she took from Marc Davis' class!
