Tickets sold out. In 1941, Walt and a group of Studio employees embarked on a goodwill tour of South and Central America. Their goal was to learn more about the culture and history of the region, and gather material for the upcoming productions of Saludos Amigos (1943) and The Three Caballeros (1945). Among the souvenirs they brought back were dolls designed in a traditional South American style, which Walt gave to his daughters as gifts. View one of these exquisite dolls in Gallery 6 and join us in this workshop to make your own traditional Guatemalan-inspired doll. Learn about historical Mayan clothing and the legend of the worry doll as you craft your own textile companion.
