Eyvind Earle’s love for nature is not only apparent in his work on Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty (1959)—it can be found in his personal works as well! He created whimsical winter landscapes, ranging from snowy trees in Yosemite to frosted buildings in Central Park. Bundle up with us and learn how to animate a winter scene with a fresh flurry of snow in honor of Eyvind Earle’s love for the great outdoors, see how animators have used various techniques to capture the cooler temperatures in film and television, then learn how to animate a winter scene with a fresh flurry of snow using traditional hand-drawn tools!

Guests of The Walt Disney Family Museum can request American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters on-demand for our Talks, Workshops, School Experiences, Tours, and Storytimes.
