Flying ships have captured imaginations for generations, blending artistry with engineering to create the illusion of sailing the skies. In conjunction with our special exhibition Happiest Place on Earth: The Disneyland Story, we will explore the origins of the iconic Peter Pan’s Flight attraction, the use of reference material, and key design principles behind its enchanting airborne experience. Then, with mixed media and fabrication techniques, you will build a three-dimensional miniature airship that can stand on its own, complete with shimmering clouds and maybe even some pixie dust. Think happy thoughts and bring a touch of Never Land magic home!
