Ever wonder how Disney artists make flat sketches feel real? In conjunction with our special exhibition Happiest Place on Earth: The Disneyland Story, discover the world of Disneyland design and the simple secrets behind three-dimensional drawing! From the soaring spires of Sleeping Beauty Castle to the whimsical curves of Fantasyland, depth and perspective bring enchantment to every detail. We will explore easy techniques like overlapping shapes, shading, and dimension that artists and Imagineers use to create the illusion of space and volume. Then, grab your pencils to practice these principles and design your own scene that pops off the page. No experience needed, just imagination and a touch of whimsy!
