Complementing our latest special exhibition, Mary Blair: Mid-Century Magic, enjoy the inspirational story of Mary’s life and unique artistic style in a special screening of Mary Blair’s Pigments of Imagination (2025). The new featurette, produced and edited in-house at The Walt Disney Family Museum, showcases works from the special exhibition, paired with corresponding, iconic Disney scenes. Narrated by animation historian Mindy Johnson, Mary Blair’s Pigments of Imagination includes interviews with Disney artists and experts, along with home video footage of Mary never previously shared with the public. (Runtime: 46 minutes)

Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for the child at all times.

All 11am screenings of this film will be sensory-friendly. To make this film a comfortable experience for all, lights will be dimmed instead of off, volume will be slightly lowered, and closed captioning will be turned on. Guests are welcome to get up, walk around, and enjoy the featurette in whatever way is most comfortable to them.
