Philippe, who plays Beast in the North American touring company of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast The Musical, currently on stage at San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre. About the Speaker
Fergie L. Philippe
Fergie L. Philippe is a New York City-based actor, puppeteer, director, and writer. He was raised in Miami Lakes, Florida, where he attended New World School of the Arts in downtown Miami. During his time there, he received college-level training in acting including techniques developed by renowned actor/teachers Sanford Meisner and Uta Hagen. He then studied in North Carolina at Elon University, receiving a BFA in Music Theatre.
His Broadway credits include Camelot as Sir Sagramore/King Arthur understudy and Hamilton as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison. His off-Broadway credits include Jason Robert Brown’s The Connector as Bob/Willis. He was seen as Kristoff in Disney’s Frozen at Theater Under the Stars in Houston. His puppetry credits include Aanika’s Elephants, Jupiter’s Journey to Earth, Rescue Rue, and Sebastian in The Muny’s production of Disney's The Little Mermaid, directed by The Jim Henson Company’s Tony Award®-nominated John Tartaglia. On television, his credits include The Good Fight, Law and Order: SVU, and The Gilded Age. His film credits include Space Cadet (2024).
