What Do YOU Do, STORYBOARD??

On July 15, 2010, The Walt Disney Family Museum published its very first blog post here on STORYBOARD. Exactly one year later, we celebrate STORYBOARD's first birthday by asking it, "STORYBOARD, What Do YOU Do??"

What is your title and what do YOU do here at The Walt Disney Family Museum?

My name is STORYBOARD and I am the Museum Blog. Bringing you all deeper into the world of Walt Disney, I educate the public about the history of Walt, his life and his legacy by examining subjects and artifacts in the Museum and sharing stories from those who knew him best. Moreover, I support public programming and inform visitors of all the classes, programs and special events that happen here at our museum.

What is your fondest Disney memory?

My favorite Disney memory is the video that started it all:The One-Year-Anniversary Video. The whole concept of the video was conceived by a small team but grew bigger with input from many other people, and that’s when I realized that I would grow bigger with a bigger team backing me. After the success of the video, my team grew from two to six.

How does your job communicate and interpret the legacy of Walt Disney?

In reality, I am remote access to the legacy of Walt Disney for those who cannot physically visit the Museum—or for those who are yearning to learn and find out more information about the man behind the myth. My job is to turn everything physical here at our museum into something digital.

Describe your workspace OR your favorite item on your desk:

My workspace is in The Cloud! My favorite item on my desk is the conference phone, aka “My Virtual Jeff Kurtti”!

Tell us a little known fact about you!

In the end and in the simplest terms, I am comprised of a man with a pasture, a creative genius, a task master, a media diva, a collector of recaps, and the ever elusive devil’s advocate…
