Successful animators have a comprehensive understanding of basic animation techniques and principles.

Animation is a versatile medium that allows animators to explore storytelling beyond traditional drawing. Paper, clay, and even sand have proven to be other unique ways to animate a tale. This eight-week course will focus on understanding basic animation principles, with each class working with a different medium. Budding animators who wish to experiment beyond traditional pencil and paper will develop a strong foundation, continue to build their knowledge of art and animation, and hone their unique skills.

This course is designed for beginning students, new to both the museum and After School Animation.
