The Walt Disney Family Museum welcomes groups for guided and self-guided visits. Groups of 10 or more receive discounted rates, and additional venue rental options are also available. Please note: All group tickets and private tour reservations must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Journey through the museum’s main galleries and special exhibitions while enjoying an insider's look from one of our friendly certified Storytellers. As they present special stories, facts, and memories within each gallery room, guests will discover more about the life and legacy of Walt Disney.

Walt Disney Treasures: A Journey Through Artifacts: $25 per person (tour only), or option to purchase book $75 per person (tour & book)

Enter the world of determination, innovation, and nostalgia with the museum’s newest tour offering celebrating the launch of the museum’s latest book, Walt Disney Treasures: Personal Art and Artifacts, and exploring a collection of rare artifacts that shaped Walt Disney’s extraordinary life.

Wonderful Women of Disney Tour: $12 per person

A certified Storyteller guide will share and celebrate the contributions of important women throughout Disney history, including the eras of Walt’s early life, Ink & Paint, and Imagineering.

Lessons From Walt Tour: $12 per person

In this tour, explore themes such as disruption, teamwork, and adapting. Compare the struggles during Walt’s life to the challenges of today in a discussion on the strategies and forward-thinking that Walt adopted in order to overcome multiple failures to find success. This experience is part tour, part breakout for questions/discussions.

Everyone is a Storyteller Workshop: $12 per person

Discover communication, inspiration, and effective storytelling. Get an insider’s look at Walt’s incomparable storytelling and learn how to apply it to your work. In this whimsical workshop, hear from our certified guides about the techniques we have developed directly from Walt’s body of work. Not just for employees with creative positions, discover how this can improve your skills for every position, including managers, marketing, sales, HR; everyone can become a high-level storyteller!

Scavenger Hunt: $10 per person

Take a deeper look at our objects with a fast-paced, photo-based Scavenger Hunt of the main museum galleries. In addition to finding our most popular artifacts, you and your team will have an opportunity to get creative and make your own magical memories!

Preserving the Magic of Storytelling: $100 per person

• Capacity: 6 guests per tour
• Length: 1-1.5 hours

Step into a world of wonder and preservation with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the museum’s Collections Department. Join one of our knowledgeable team members for an intimate journey of rarely-seen spaces, including the Conservation Lab, Digital Assets Room, and more, where we carefully store and protect rare artifacts that illuminate the legacy of a master storyteller, Walt Disney.

Wonder and Workmanship: A Conservator’s Perspective: $50 per person

• Capacity: 24 guests per group

• Length: 1.5-2 hours

Learn more about the conservation process of treasured artifacts that tell the story of Walt Disney’s life and legacy in this in-person group discussion led by our knowledgeable Collections team at The Walt Disney Family Museum.

Private group transportation is available through the San Jose Charter Bus Company and CharterUp, offering services throughout all cities of California, from San Diego to Los Angeles to Sacramento.

• Groups of 10 or more receive discounted rates.
• Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance.
• Groups larger than 50 will be accommodated with two separate, consecutive entry times, and must submit payment and booking details no later than three weeks prior to your visit date.
• Groups larger than 60 can book their visit for no later than 2pm.
• After payment has been processed, no cost-adjusting changes can be made to your reservation.
• Final guest count and payment are due two weeks prior to your visit date.
• All guided tours can accommodate up to 25 guests per tour guide. If your guest count exceeds that number, we will automatically spilt the group in two and schedule two tour guides. Additional fees may apply.
• All other discounts cannot be applied or combined with the Group Sales rate.
• If your group decides or plans to reenter the galleries at any time on your visit please notify a Group Sales member. All reentries must be coordinated and booked ahead of your visit date.
• All guided tours take place during regular public hours, when the museum is open to all visitors. If you are interested in a completely private experience, please ask for more information about our private access bookings.

• General admission, program, special exhibition, and virtual and guided tour purchases cannot be refunded for bookings canceled by the group itself.
• Unused tickets cannot be refunded.
• The Walt Disney Family Museum reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour due to unforeseen circumstances. If The Walt Disney Family Museum needs to cancel your group visit and cannot reschedule a new date, a refund will be issued.

• Our priority is to offer a rescheduled date to ensure guests have the best possible Storyteller Tour experience. Rescheduling is our first option unless the tour cannot be performed that day due to tour guide availability or other circumstances.

• If the client declines the rescheduling option or the tour cannot be offered, we provide the following alternatives: a condensed, 30-minute highlights tour or self-guided access, including the WDFM app with a free audio tour.

• The museum allows a grace period of 30 minutes for late group arrivals.
• All group arrivals past the 30-minute grace period will not receive a refund, but will be offered a reschedule date.

• For youth tours and camps, a 10:1 youth-to-adult chaperone ratio is required.
• Chaperones will ensure that group behavior will not negatively impact other museum guests. Please be mindful of the group’s noise level and remain together the entire duration of the visit.
• Please note: Refusal to comply may result in being asked to leave the museum without a refund.

• While we encourage guests to visit with friends and family, and find inspiration and entertainment in our galleries, The Walt Disney Family Museum does not allow independently-organized tours, sketch sessions, meet-ups, or other group activities wherein an individual or entity collects revenue from guests.
• Food and drink are not permitted in the museum galleries or Museum Store with the exception of bottled water.
• No outside food or drinks are allowed.
• The museum cafe is now open with grab-and-go snacks and beverages.
