Whether you prefer instructor-led workshops or more open-ended creative exploration, The Walt Disney Family Museum has something for you!
Our Learn from the Masters series features classes, lectures, and workshops led by industry professionals. Kicking off in 2012 with Emmy Award-winning animator and educator Teresa Drilling teaching animation skills, the series gives participants a chance to learn skills and techniques from master practitioners. With classes generally capped at 25, participants enjoy an intimate workshop atmosphere.
First two weekends of each month | Saturday & Sunday 1–4pm | FREE with museum admission
Visitors of all ages are invited to get hands-on at our drop-in Open Studio. On the first two weekends of each month, we’ll explore creative processes drawn from the exhibitions on view in our galleries. Activities range from stop motion animation to creative storytelling and inking and painting animation cels. Get inspired, get creative!
Intended for ages 7 and under, Little Open Studio is the place where little ones and their families will first enjoy storytime, then put their little hands to work in creating artwork inspired by the story they just heard.
