Whether it be by painting self-portraits, identifying personal traits within their characters, or making caricatures of colleagues during studio meetings, artists have long used themselves as a source of inspiration and reference. In the upcoming set of Studio Series workshops, look inward and use common experiences of animators to inspire short pieces of character animation. In the first workshop in the series, learn about timing and anticipation as you create an animation of an animator at work.

This workshop will be held entirely online using a video conference interface. Students will be expected to have an internet connection, camera, and microphone to communicate with the teacher and other students. Basic materials such as pencils, pens, and paper will be used during the workshop. Any additional materials needed will be communicated by the teacher.
