Walt Disney’s artistic career was rooted in the world of cartooning and comics. At McKinley High School, he drew comics for the school’s magazine, The Voice. The comics industry today encompasses a wide range of career options: from print newspaper comics to web comics—and everything in between—there are many choices for young artists and writers. Join us for this informative workshop, which details the various types and styles of comics, the skills one requires to be a cartoonist, and the diverse paths that can lead to any number of careers in the industry.
