Q&A and Requirements

Questions can be submitted during the webinar through Zoom's Q&A function. Due to anticipated demand and limited Q&A time, not all submitted questions will be answered.

All participants must sign up by noon Pacific Time on the day prior to the event. Participants must have a Zoom account to attend the workshop. A link to the webinar and instructions for joining will be sent via email prior to the event.

About the Speaker

When she was a little girl in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the beauty rituals of Gabriela Hernandez’s older relatives fascinated her. The Burbank-based artist spent years studying vintage cosmetics and after graduating from Art Center College of Design, she began designing makeup packaging. She authored the book Classic Beauty: The History of Makeup,  and in 2004 she produced her version of a 1920s lipstick, launching and started her own cosmetics company, Bésame Cosmetics. Today the company manufactures mascara, lipstick, and powders; offers period beauty classes; and runs a boutique where patronsincluding makeup designers on period films and TV showscan immerse themselves in the charms of earlier generations.
