San Francisco, May 24, 2021—A new, 360-degree virtual recreation of The Walt Disney Family Museum’s current community outreach exhibition, Veterans Voices: Painted Realities, will be available to view for free starting on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31.

San Francisco, April 15, 2021—The Walt Disney Family Museum is delighted to welcome back members and guests to the Main Museum on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Tickets for admission to both the main galleries and the special exhibition will be available for pre-purchase online beginning 10am PT today.

San Francisco, March 11, 2021—The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to announce the opening of its new special exhibition, The Walt Disney Studios and World War II, on Thursday, March 18 for museum members and to the general public the following day, on Friday, March 19, 2021. The exhibition will be on view in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall at 122 Riley Avenue through January 10, 2022.

Streamed live on Thursday, August 6th, this special event will be presented in two parts—a paid fundraising program followed by a free musical performance.

San Francisco, June 24, 2020—The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to announce a range of innovative virtual offerings designed to make the galleries more accessible to guests of diverse abilities, economic circumstance, geographic location, and language. These initiatives include a new mobile app featuring a virtual tour and museum highlights, an audio guide translated into 12 different languages (including American Sign Language), and an audio-described tour for guests with vision impairment.

San Francisco, June 8, 2020—The Walt Disney Family Museum is excited to premiere The World of Tomorrow, a new virtual exhibition featuring works created by the museum’s global community. Inspired by each artists’ vision for a “world of tomorrow,” the diverse selection of paintings, drawings, photographs, and 3D objects will be on display to the public from Wednesday, June 10 at Noon PT in a 3D-rendered virtual gallery space.

San Francisco, November 11, 2019—The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, California presents The Walt Disney Studios and World War II, a remembrance of The Walt Disney Studios’ extensive contributions to the Allies’ World War II effort. Curated by World War II historian Kent Ramsey, this immersive exhibition will be displayed in the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall from May 13, 2020 through January 11, 2021.
