The Walt Disney Family Museum is located in the Presidio of San Francisco--right by the Golden Gate Bridge--at 104 Montgomery Street.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets can be purchased at the door, or online by clicking here. The last ticket sold each day is at 4:45PM.
What are your hours?
The Walt Disney Family Museum is open everyday from 10AM-6PM, except Tuesdays, January 1, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25. To allow sufficient time for our guests to tour the galleries, our last ticket entry is at 4:45PM.
How much time should I allow myself to spend there?
The average time spent at The Walt Disney Family Museum is about three hours. Visitors who would like a more thorough experience can spend up to eight hours in the Museum.
Where is the best place to park?
Parking is available on the Main Post in the Presidio of San Francisco--directly in front of and behind The Walt Disney Family Museum. Currently, parking rates are $1/hour, with a maximum of $6/day, Monday through Friday. However, parking is currently free on weekends.
Is the Museum stroller-friendly?
Strollers are now permitted in the galleries. Guests are welcome to use their own strollers, excluding jogging strollers and double strollers. There are a limited number of complimentary strollers available to check out from Coat Check. For guests with relatively larger strollers, staff may ask you to leave it behind if it is determined to be too large for the galleries; stroller parking accommodations are limited, so we recommend that you leave your strollers in your vehicle if they exceed the stroller size limit.
Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?
The Walt Disney Family Museum is accessible to wheelchair users. Visitors can use the ramp at the left side of the front entrance. Closed Caption and Open Caption are available in the galleries, too.
Can we bring pets?
Visitors with disabilities may bring their service animals into public areas. Pets are not allowed in the Museum.
Does the Museum offer any foreign-language audio guides?
Audio Guides are available in Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin. Please ask about them at the Ticket Desk.
Coat check?
Complimentary coat and bag check are available in the lower level of the Museum. All backpacks, parcels, and large bags must be checked. Umbrella may be left at the front door in umbrella stands. For lost items, see security or call 415-345-6843.
Lost and found?
The Museum is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unattended items, and assumes no responsibility for accidents, loss, or personal injury. If you think you have lost an item at the Museum, please contact the front desk at 415-345-6843. Thank you.
Can I bring my camera? What about cell phones?
No photography, videography, or audio recording are allowed in the Museum. Material on exhibit is copyright protected; any reproduction of it will be prosecuted as permitted by all applicable laws.
For the enjoyment of all visitors, we request that you refrain from using your cell phone within the galleries.
What are my dining or shopping options there?
No food or beverages are allowed in the Museum. The Museum Café and the Museum store is open during Museum hours. No ticket is needed to access the Café or Store.
Can I return or get a refund for my ticket(s)?
All ticket sales are final. There are no ticket refunds or exchanges. Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be replaced. A ticket is valid only for the date shown.
The Museum is not responsible for honoring any ticket obtained from a source other than the Museum itself. This is a revocable license.
The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, and to remove any person whose conduct management deems to be disorderly or to intrude upon the enjoyment of other guests.
