Learn the fundamentals of what it takes to create a hand drawn animated film in this two-week summer class. Working with pencil and paper, you will learn how to animate one drawing at a time. Use your talent and traditional techniques to create a short film, one drawing at a time. Class culminates in a gallery-style showcase of artworks and a screening in our state-of-the-art theater of all final projects—family and friends are encouraged to attend the showcase.

This class, formerly Intro to Animation, is intended for students interested in learning the process of animation and is recommended for students with very little or no experience in animation. Students will be working in the studio for the majority of the hours that class is in session. Participants receive digital copies of all work.

Tickets for this class are currently sold out, however we are still accepting scholarship applications. To apply, send an email to studio@wdfmuseum.org with the subject line “Scholarship Information.” Please include your name, the student's name and age, the class you are interested in.

If tickets become available for any summer class that is sold out, they will be released on April 10, 2017. Please check back on that date.
